A road rage confrontation during a traffic jam in Coachella was caught on camera Sunday afternoon on the final day of the four-day music festival. An aggressive driver in a white Honda CRV was captured on video attempting to cut off several cars when the clash occurred and then escalated. “I saw everything happen for what it is only because he was harassing me at first and merging into my lane,” one of the victims, a man identified only as Shawn, told KTLA. He had been in one vehicle when a backseat passenger in the white Honda started hurling insults. Shawn said that it was surprising to see that kind of behavior outside the popular music event, which is spread over two weekends. “Nobody really expects to go to a festival and get assaulted and harassed. So, like always good energy and good vibes,” he said. The car that he was in didn’t yield to the aggressive driver, and that’s when the situation got even more heated. A backseat passenger in the white H...Woman killed, man critically injured in possible street-racing crash in Pomona

Cannons blast: Los Angeles alt-indie-electro-pop band Cannons has just performed at both Coachella weekends, and we spoke to singer Michelle Joy between the two. We can at least confirm that their set at Weekend One was a resounding success, and we doubt that Weekend Two will go down any differently. This is a band on the rise, local heroes-in-making who straddle the line between alternative and pop in a manner that suggests they can appeal to many markets without ever sacrificing their integrity. It’s been that way from the beginning, when they formed at the end of 2012. Their journey has been organic.“The mission since the beginning has just been to make music that we like to listen to, that we enjoy,” says Joy. “Always keep it coming from the right place, and to grow together doing this project. Ryan (Clapham, guitar) and Paul (Davis, bass) grew up together, on the same street, and have been making music together for a very long time. So they had this special connection. SACRAMENTO — The first-round series between the Warriors and Sacramento Kings feels like a full-circle moment for Golden State play-by-play radio announcer Tim Roye. His last stop before taking the Warriors gig in 1995 was at Sacramento’s KFBK-AM radio, where he was part of the Kings broadcast team while also serving as the station’s sports director from 1989-95. During his time there, he worked closely with Gary Gerould, the Kings’ long-time radio announcer, and they formed a close relationship that still stands strong to this day.Over the years, the two often talked about what it would be like if the Warriors and Kings had ever met in a playoff series.“I wondered if the time would ever come in our lifetimes when these two teams would be good at the same time,” Gerould said in a recent phone interview.Roye recalled telling Gerould, “I’m going to stay in this business until we get one of these.”At the beginning of this season, a matchup...Latest news
